1. LEATHER CARE
We guarantee against manufacturing faults, but not misuse

I. EVERYDAY LEATHER CARE
A. Our leather is treated with a protective coat to resist water and minor scratches. However, treat your leather bag with appropriate care and then it will last for years to come.

B. Do not overstuff your leather bag. Leather has the ability to mould to a shape. Over stuffing may result in permanent bumps and lumps on leather surface.

C. Use leather conditioner (which has been tested in an inconspicuous area) to rehydrate your leather bag in dry seasons or environment. Treat leather like your skin. Cleaners such as caustic household chemicals, leather preparations that contain alcohol, turpentine, and mineral spirits must never be used on your leather bag. It may result in permanent damage to the protective coating and distort the colour.

D. A damp cloth and leather conditioning cream (which has been tested in an inconspicuous area) should be used three or four times a year to facilitate the durability, shine and increase the beauty of the leather bag.

E. Our linings are treated with a special coating to resist water and stains, which makes them easy to care for. They are developed and made to last for years to come. Treat spills with a damp cloth and a mild soap solution, and then leave it to dry naturally. Do not use harsh solvents or cleaning products.

F. Take extra care with leather items you use often. Take the time each week to wipe away dust and spots with a soft cloth or brush

G. Avoid scratching your leather by avoid contact with heavily embellished clothes, sharp surfaces, or chunky jewellery when you are out and about.

H. Avoid contact with perfume, hair product and aftershave. Most food or drink spills should be wiped off as quickly as possible using a damp cloth with a mild soap solution.

I. Wet leather requires extra care, so if rain is forecast, remember to take an umbrella

II. LEATHER STORAGE -NATURAL AIRY CONDITION
A. Although it’s tempting to leave our handbags packed with our daily essentials ready for the next day, instead take the time to empty them completely to avoid warping. Once empty, you can maintain the handbag’s silhouette by gently filling it with plain, acid-free tissue paper.

B. If you are planning to leave your bag in storage for an extended period – until next season, for example – you might also like to take the time to wrap hardware such as zips and clasps in tissue paper to avoid them creating any unwanted imprints on your leather.

C. The next stage is to cover your bag, preferably in the dust bag in which it arrived with. Like our skin, leather needs to breathe as well. Do not store your leather bag in plastic bags or any nonporous covers, which may result in mould growth. Cover with breathable cloth such as the anupa packaging that is provided with purchase. If you you no longer have the original dust bag, a white cotton pillowcase can be an ideal substitute – avoid using a coloured fabric to avoid the colour transferring.

D. Once covered, place your covered handbag away from direct sunlight and artificial sources of heat. Be sure to stand it on its base rather than hanging it up, as this can stretch the handles. Additionally, take care to choose a spot that is tall enough to allow the handles to stand up unimpeded. Doing otherwise can cause them to become bent or misshapen.

III. BELTS
A. As belts are an accessory that many of us wear every day, it is important to rotate them to extend their lifespan. Identifying the correct fit will also support their longevity; preventing stretching.

B. When not wearing your belt, gently wipe away any dust or debris and hang it by the buckle in a cool, dry space away from direct heat or sunlight. By allowing a belt to hang flat rather than rolling it up, you will avoid any imprints from the hardware and maintain its original shape.

IV. DOS AND DONTS FOR LEATHER CLEANING
• Do regularly clean leather with a soft brush or cloth
• Do regularly air out leather
• Do blot away water or moisture as soon as possible
• Do dry wet leather naturally, away from artificial heat
• Do clean spots and stains with a mixture of soap flakes and warm water
• Do test any conditioners, cleaners, polishes or wax in a hidden spot beforehand

• Don’t machine wash leather
• Don’t get leather wet wherever possible
• Don’t dry wet leather next to a radiator or with a hairdryer
• Don’t tumble dry leather
• Don’t iron leather
• Don’t immerse leather in water to clean

2. JEWELLERY CARE
We guarantee against manufacturing faults, but not misuse

A. SILVER JEWELLERY
Sterling silver is a mixture of metals with at least 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals. It will tarnish with time due to exposure with air BUT silver tarnishes faster in areas with high humidity and air pollution.

Additionally, contact with materials like cosmetics, hairspray, perfume, deodorant, body lotion, bleach, acids in your skin, and sweating can speed up the tarnishing process.

Make-up present on the skin or clothing is the most common cause of blackening or smudging. Cosmetics often contain chemical compounds which are harder than the jewellery itself. These compounds can rub off very tiny particles of metal which appear as jet black dust.

I. How to reduce tarnishing?
To take care of your sterling silver jewellery:

• Polish it frequently with a soft dry cloth.
• Store in a cool, dry place, keeping individual pieces separate to avoid scratching (plastic zip locks with tissue works well).
• Avoid contact with make-up, cosmetics, chemicals, perfume, hairspray and deodorant.
• Remove jewellery whilst showering, swimming, sleeping and playing sport.
• Silver jewellery should be the LAST thing to put on after make-up and getting dressed and the FIRST thing to take off.

II. Caring for gems in silver
To bring back sparkle from faceted gemstones;

• Use warm water, washing up liquid and a soft toothbrush
• Soak and brush inside the back of the setting and rinse (do not soak the complete piece).
• Avoid hitting the stone on surfaces
• Hold the band of a ring to put in on and take it off. Do not pull the top of the stone setting

B. GOLD JEWELLERY CARE
The purity of gold is measured in carats; 24ct is pure gold and any carat below this is gold mixed with other alloys. 14ct and 18ct or 8ct gold as the mixed alloys make the metal much stronger for setting stones, adding design details and make them suitable for wearing.

By mixing different colour alloys with the gold, you can achieve different colour gold which is how we create white gold and rose gold. By definition, it isn’t possible to find 24ct white or rose gold as it isn’t naturally formed. See chart below:

I. How to care for Gold jewellery?
• Polish it frequently with a soft dry cloth.
• Store in a cool, dry place, keeping individual pieces separate to avoid scratching (plastic zip locks with tissue works well).
• Avoid contact with make-up, cosmetics, chemicals, perfume, hairspray and deodorant.
• Remove jewellery whilst showering, swimming, sleeping and playing sport.

C. PLATINUM CARE
Platinum has the advantage of being more durable than gold and is the heaviest of the precious metals.

Platinum (Pt) is around 50% more dense than gold, so it will tend to cost more than gold in equal-sized pieces of jewellery simply because the platinum weighs so much more than gold.

Advantages of platinum: hypoallergenic and outstanding strength.

I. How to care for Platinum jewellery?
Although platinum is highly resistant and wears gradually, you should take steps to care for it just as any other precious metal;

• Clean it regularly with warm water.

D. FIND YOUR RING SIZE
We can send your personal ring size measurer (email: [email protected]). There are several factors that will affect ring size besides actual measurement around a finger.

• Fingers are not perfectly round, although most rings are.
• The difference in size between finger joints and the place where a ring is to sit also affects the choice of ring size.
• Your finger can change size in response to body chemistry and temperature, sometimes by half a size or more – so when you measure your ring select a temperature you are most likely to be wearing the ring in. Remember heat often expands our fingers.
• Most of our pieces are large stone settings – the ring should be a good fit (tighter than loose), If the ring is loose it will move a lot on your finger.
• Best way to measure in MM as the measurement is much more accurate.
• Wrap a piece of loose string around your finger. Be sure to allow for the size of your knuckle.
• With a pen, mark the point on the string where the end meets.
• You may also use the ring size of your country for reference but I would like you to quote in the ANUPA SIZE column.
• We can work in half sizes for example if 10 is small and 11 is big I can set the ring at 10.5.

3. CLOTHING CARE
We guarantee against manufacturing faults, but not misuse

I. General garment care
• Machine wash under 40 degrees. For beading clothes, should be washed in cool water by hand.
• Separate dark colours and bright color linen before machine wash
• Color linen cloth should be washed with cool water to keep color well
• Do not tumble dry
• Dry naturally in the cool air
• Should use steam iron for linen and iron inside out
• If in doubt dry clean.
• Do not hang cloth in direct sunlight, can affect the color of cloth.
• Do not use washing powder with strong detergent for color cloth except white cloth.
• Store cloth in cool and dry place and avoid sunlight.
